  1. Investigate (v.): to examine something to discover the truth

    e.g.
    After investigating (調查) the case (案件) for half a year, the police finally arrested the hacker (黑客) who attacked the mobile payment system (移動支付系統) and the organization behind him.

  2. Indie (adj.): not belonging to a large organization

    e.g.
    As some singer-songwriters (唱作歌手) are often left out (冷落) by large companies, they start to think about starting indie (獨立的) record labels (唱片公司).

  3. Thrive (v.): to grow, develop or become successful

    e.g.
    While digital magazines (電子雜誌) have come to thrive (繁榮), the older generation (一代) believe that there is no substitute (替代品) for printed magazines (紙本雜誌).

  4. Interview (v.): to ask questions to get information

    e.g.
    When the host interviewed (訪問) the e-commerce (電子商務) entrepreneur (企業家) over the phone, the entrepreneur laid out (制定) his business plan for the next ten years.

  5. Publisher (n.): an organization that publishes text or music

    e.g.
    As an emerging (新興的) technology with great development potential (潛力), new media (新媒體) have brought a lot of commercial opportunities (商機) to publishers (出版商).
